This is not an event. And we are not event organisers

This is a way of gathering people that share the same ideas. The desire of doing solidarity actions that make a difference in people’s lives, including ours, is what connects us. By doing so, Unogwaja is more than an event; it is a way of calling the attention of people, from the whole world, for what we are capable of doing for one another.

How do you think you will deal with adversity or things that don’t meet with your expectations?

My expectations will always be the social focus of Unogwaja; it is what will always make me move forward. I know there will be adversities, but as I have always done, on this way I intend to use the adversities as my learning material.

Besides, I will use my know-how in adventure racings to overcome adversities I have gone through before.

Why I am ready for The Unogwaja Challenge 2017:

I have been training as an ultramarathon runner since 2012. I have participated in races such as Comrades, 89km (South Africa), Cabalo Branco, 80 km (Mexico), PGTA, 288 km (Portugal), BR135, 217 km (Brazil), UAI, 235 km (Brazil), among others. In addition, I am the creator and organizer of Caminhos de Rosa (Brazil), one of the longest running and cycling ultramarathons of the world, with about 300Km.

My coach has always been Vanderlei (Branca), the official coach of Comrades in Brazil, who has already coached Nato to participate the 1st Unogwaja.
Besides, as an organizer and creator of the ultramarathon Caminhos de Rosa (Brazil), a race that lasts 60 hours non-stop, I have dealt with all kinds of athletes under strong psychological and physical pressure.
