I’m a very positive, strong-willed, and level-headed individual that always strives to make the very best of every situation. Life is full of rejection, disappointment and failure, but one trait that sets me apart from some others is that, when I get knocked down, I always get back up again.

I’m realistic enough to appreciate that things don’t always go the way one would hope or expect them to go, but I feel what’s important is how one handles such circumstances.

When the word Unogwaja comes to mind, it reminds me of a team, a family, that commits themselves to make a huge difference in less privileged people’s lives; and a team that strives to build communities through continuous fund-raising.

What is your interpretation of John’s words “This is not an event. And we are not event organisers”?

My interpretation is that Unogwaja is a life journey and a choice of living, a commitment to improve the quality of life of all human beings especially the less privileged. I also don’t see the Unogwaja challenge as an event but rather as an opportunity to join a team to embark on a life journey to improve the lives of others.

Take the bull by the horns, you just make it work!

I have to admit that I have a very supportive, loving, and understanding family at home and at work, they support me fully in every endeavor, they’re just awesome!
