This is not an event. And we are not event organisers

Unogwaja is not a once off event that just creates excitement, but instead a Charitable Trust that seeks to change lives of an African child through giving them an injection as well as the necessary support through their entire journey. To leave a legacy. Also making a difference in the lives of these children. Lastly and most importantly getting involve by offering a solution instead of standing along side and just complaining, becoming part of the problem.

How do you think you will deal with adversity or things that don’t meet with your expectations?

This is part and parcel of our everyday life as things do not always go our way, for me being open minded, flexible and my readiness / my ability to adabt to change or uncertainty is very important.

Why I am ready for The Unogwaja Challenge 2017:

I have to date competed most if not all the top rated marathons as well as half-marathons locally, over and above also completed 4 comrades marathons in sub-10h15 all bronzes going for my 5th next year and have done Cape Argus, 94.7, Emperors Classic, The Jock Classic ( stage race) as well as Amashova and lastly Im a spinning instructor on a part-time basis but then averaging about 8 classes per week.So I have no doubt that I have the physical competence to take part in the 2017 journey.

01 Jun 2017WiseyR420A donation from an incredible family. This is nearly R5,000 split evenly between you all. It is important to split this amount evenly between each of you, because each of you as a team have inspired this donation. The family donating are Rich and Kylie and their two daughters from Australia, they have avidly followed the story of Unogwaja over the last three years and given over R25,000 to date. It is a testament to Unogwaja 2017's ability to inspire. Keep charging legends!!
