Why am I part of this project?
Many years ago, when I still worked for a large corporate, the part I loved most about my job as a media consultant was travelling through South Africa and retelling the many stories shared with me in rural villages, urban shacks and on the dusty streets of informal settlements. I was amazed by the resilient spirit of this beautiful country.

I still am.

I’d like to think that John asked me to become involved, but the truth is that I threw myself at the project in more ways than one.

Unogwaja is more than just an annual journey; it’s an excellent example of  how individuals from around the world can come together and work towards a common goal.

It’s so easy for someone to say that they are too busy or don’t have the necessary skills to make a difference in the world.  But the truth is that if everyone just adds a drop of water to the bucket, it will fill up. I’m here to add my drop and contribute to a greater good.
